Weekday Outfitting

I wanted to revisit my outfit that I wore on Monday, because it was a particularly comfortable look that still made me feel very put-together. This defines my weekday outfit choices because I often have to spend about 13 hours a day in these clothes. Since joggers and a t-shirt are not appropriate to wear 7 days a week, I’m forced to find comfy (& chic) alternatives.

I tend to purchase jeans with a good amount of stretch in them, because I hate to feel restricted, or like I can’t even pick something off the floor if I need to [are you familiar with the stiff denim struggle I’m talking about?] I’ve been reaching for my Pilcro Superscript Flares a lot recently, because they’re a comfortable high rise with lots of stretch- a.k.a. the qualities in denim that make me very happy. The flares are a nice departure from my usual super skinny styles, and they offer a nice balanced look when paired with tunics, vests and jackets.

As I mentioned in my most recent Brand Spotlight post, Cloth & Stone is one of my favorite brands for buttondown blouses. I picked up this white blouse at Anthropologie, with the intention of pairing it with my [always expanding] vest collection this fall. That’s exactly what I did on Monday, and I chose a comfy grey knit vest by Calvin Klein. I couldn’t find my vest on the internet, but I did find this pretty knit vest in a camel color that would’ve worked just as well in this outfit!

The outfit was topped off with [you guessed it] A HAT! This one is a nubby knit panama style hat from Anthro, and it’s now on sale! Get it while it’s hot, ladies.
