I don’t know about you guys, but I have a habit of filling my online shopping carts and staring at them longingly. Since I’m always searching for the best deal, I only bite the bullet and checkout once I’m sure I found the lowest price. My Free People shopping cart is especially large, since I have a real weakness for FP, but it’s not the easiest on the wallet. I’ve had these high waisted printed pants in my cart for quite some time now, but hadn’t gotten around to purchasing. They’re totally my type of pant; the type that demands very little from the rest of the outfit. Just add a plain tee, boots and a jacket and you have yourself a winning look.

I decided to visit my local Free People store during one of their extra 25% sale promotions, to pick up some sale goodies and maybe even try on some of the items filling my online shopping cart (because honestly, sometimes that’s the closest I can get to owning some pieces.) I found some great items that day, but my favorite purchase was the $98 pair of pants that I’ve been coveting, on sale for $49.99 plus an additional 25% off! What a major score! I think I might even love them more because I got them for under $40!

I styled them just as I had imagined: with a solid t-shirt, ankle booties and a leather jacket. I threw on my new FP layering necklace for some added edge.
