Keepin’ it Fresh in 2016

Towards the end of December, I tend to do a great deal of reflection on the year that is coming to a close. I swear that every year that passes seems to go by faster and faster. It’s quite scary. At the beginning of each new month, I find myself asking, “whoa, is it [insert month] already??” Until finally, I find myself here, at the end of December, wondering where the heck the whole year went.

There’s something really refreshing about starting a new year. In a way, it feels like a fresh start, and an opportunity to make the changes that we swore we’d make a hundred different times during the year. I think it’s healthy to have that kind of reminder to make moves and push towards your goals, because it’s easy to get sucked into our [sometimes mundane] routines.

For me, this blog is at the forefront of my goals in 2016. For those of you who are fellow bloggers, you know that marketing and updating your blog is no small or easy task, especially when you’re trying to balance a full schedule as it is. It’s important for me to remember why I started this blog in the first place. I believe that it’s imperative to make time for the things that bring me joy (i.e. clothing, fashion and styling), and a blog is a great way to connect with others who share the same interests. It also does a great job of holding me accountable to these goals, because it’s something that is shared with readers.
