Love Me a Wooden Sole

By now, we’re all well aware of my boot obsession. Fall and Winter are the perfect time to showcase my [ever-growing] collection of boots and booties. I talk a lot about my go-to ankle boots (Sam Edelman Petty Boots), and these days you’re pretty much guaranteed to find me in my newest low-heel addition (Free People Mick Boot), but today is all about my love for clog boots.

I’m not sure what it is about a wooden sole that I love so much. It could be the 70’s vibe, or the easy-to-walk-in platform that is often a quality of a good clog boot. Perhaps it’s the distinct knocking sound I make while walking on the pavement (is it weird that I like that sound?) Whatever the answer, I’ve realized that this style of shoe/boot is definitely for me. I’ve acquired a few different pairs to fit certain occasions, because I love wearing them so much. You might’ve noticed that I’m totally not a heels girl, which requires me to get creative with my shoe choices when I need to dress up for certain occasions.

Believe it or not, my favorite couple pairs of clog boots are by UGG. Turns out, they make more than those cozy {yet ugly} suede slipper boots (which I still wear daily to walk my dog at 6am.) UGG has seriously stepped up their shoe/boot game, and the quality continues to impress me. A huge selling point for me is that all of their boots are shearling lined, in some form. I have poor circulation, and my fingers and toes tend to really suffer in the winter- so these boots are not only cute, but they serve a real purpose in the colder months.

My clog recommendations:

UGG Lynnea Boots

UGG Carberry Boots

Kelsi Dagger Atena Boot

Kelsi Dagger Unique Boot

Free People Premier Slip On Clog

Free People Belmont Leather Clog
