Sweater Weather [is Better Weather?]

The weather in Connecticut this time of year can be confusing. Winter hasn’t officially hit yet- so there are days (like today) when it’s not quite cold enough for my down parka, but a warm top-layer is totally necessary. Lucky for me, I’ve got my secret [cozy] weapon: the sweater coat. I’m always searching for new additions to my collection of heavy sweaters. You’ve had the pleasure of seeing quite a few of them in the last few weeks of blog/instagram posts. However, I’ve gotta say, this one might be my favorite…

It’s called the Iona Pattern Cardi on the Free People website, and I’ll tell ya, it’s one hell of a sweater. The weight of it reminds me of a thick knit robe- it even has a tie for the waist (athough, I took this off in order to just wear it as an open cardi.) The texture is amazing, and the color combo is perfect to pair with any wash of denim. I love patterned sweaters, because I can just throw on a basic tee and jeans, and the outfit is complete!

What I’m wearing:

Free People Iona Pattern Cardi

Madewell Anthem Curved Hem Tee

M.i.h. High Rise Kick Flare

Kelsi Dagger Clog Boots >> Try: Kelsi Dagger Atena Boots
