Home Accents

There are few things in life that I love more than fashion [obviously excluding the human relationships in my life, so don’t go thinking I’m a crazy person.] Next to fashion, interior design and home decor has become one of my favorite hobbies. I often find myself on Pinterest for hours, clicking through amazing photos of home interiors. I’m also guilty of spending WAY too long in stores like West Elm, Crate & Barrel, Terrain and the home section of Anthropologie.
Similar to how I treat shopping for clothing as a kind of sport, I have the same hunting mentality when it comes to home accents. You better believe I gather up inspiration from these [often way too expensive] home stores, and then spend HOURS in Homegoods trying to recreate what I saw for a fraction of the cost. Don’t get me wrong, it’s often worth it to splurge on pieces that I know I’ll have for a long time. However, with those trendy home accents, I’m less concerned with quality and will happily fill my cart with them at a HomeGoods or TJ Maxx.

I gathered together some items that I’m currently coveting. The first are the Moroccan wedding pillows and throw blankets with the textural white/beige fabric and pops of metallic. Anthropologie has some gorgeous ones right now, as well as some other fun and textured throw blankets. I’m also really loving any furniture that’s mirrored, either with a clean look or with antiqued glass. As for smaller accents, I am totally obsessed with succulents and the cool ways you can display them. My love for wall accents has drawn me to these really cool gold, spikey balls that can be grouped together on a wall.

By the looks of what I chose, it’s safe to say I’m loving anything gold, textured Moroccan pillows/blankets/ottomans and succulent plants. My goal is to own everything pictured, so a trip to HomeGoods is in order. Who’s with me?
