Jogger Fever

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve noticed my obsession with joggers. There are some days that I just can’t stand the thought of putting on real pants. Today [unsurprisingly], was one of those days. I was cold, tired and feeling pretty sore from my workout the night before, so those cozy pants were lookin’ pretty appealing. I reached for my Anthropologie Cloth & Stone joggers and paired them with a striped ribbed tank and a cozy cardigan (both from Abercrombie & Fitch, oddly.) It may not have been my most chic day, but it sure was comfy, and was very true to my personal style.

I love that joggers a solid step up from sweatpants, but provides most of the same qualities (though maybe lacking the same warmth factor.) The key is to balance out the look with the right shoes and the right top. I’m probably not going to pair my joggers with an oversized sweater or a long tunic, because then I’ll look like I’m heading to bed, not heading to work. A safe bet is to pair your joggers with a slim-fit solid tee and a chic [maybe leather] jacket. Add in a nice layered necklace and a pair of ankle booties, and you’ve got yourself a comfortable AND on-trend look.

Check out some of my top jogger picks!
Marled Knit Joggers >> These are comparable to wearing sweaters on your legs, and you know I’m all about that!

Contemporary Mineral Wash Joggers >> these are very similar to the Cloth & Stone joggers from today’s outfit!

ASOS Tailored Utility Joggers >> I love how these can easily be dressed up or down, and would be perfect for a workday outfit

Gap 1969 Tencel Denim Joggers >> If you ever find yourself torn between a pair of jeans and a pair of woven joggers, then these would be an excellent compromise!

Free People Quilted Sweatpants >> Okay, I had to throw in a pair of sweatpants. But these are FP sweatpants, so naturally they’ve got some  special qualities- these are quilted and come in two bold colors.
